IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PATIENTS

SHEVINGTON SURGERY

Important Notice to Our Patients

We would like to inform you about an upcoming change to our practice boundary arrangements.

Currently, we have an inner boundary (our main practice area) and an outer boundary which allows patients who move just outside the inner boundary to remain registered with us.

From 1st November 2025, we will be removing the outer boundary. This means that in future, if a patient moves outside of our inner boundary, they will need to register with a GP practice closer to their new address.

This change is necessary because our building and resources can only safely support the number of patients living within our inner boundary. By focusing on this area, we can continue to provide safe, high-quality care to all of our patients.

Please be reassured:

  • This change does not affect patients currently living in the outer boundary who are already registered with us. They will remain registered with our practice.
  • Only future changes of address (to outside the inner boundary) will require patients to register with a new GP practice.

We will be hosting a drop-in session on Tuesday 14th October between 1-2pm at the surgery if you have any questions or need further advice.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
